Blue Apron has recalled 150,000 meal kits shipped between March 15-April 1 after discovering that a Thai-inspired chicken recipe contained undeclared peanut protein, posing a life-threatening risk to allergy sufferers.

The Error

A supplier labeling mistake caused peanut-containing sauce to be packaged with "peanut-free" labels. Three allergic reactions have been reported, including one hospitalization requiring epinephrine treatment.

Consumer Action

Customers who received the "Bangkok Basil Chicken" meal kit should discard it immediately and contact Blue Apron for a full refund. The company has suspended the supplier pending investigation.
