Fisher-Price has recalled approximately 2 million infant rockers and bouncers following reports of 4 infant deaths and 30 injuries linked to the products when used for unsupervised sleep.
Affected Products
- Fisher-Price Infant-to-Toddler Rocker (model numbers FMN39, GKH62, HBD24)
- Fisher-Price Deluxe Bouncer (models CHN01, CMR17)
- Sold at Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Buy Buy Baby from 2019-2025
- Retail price: $30-$60
The Danger
Infants can roll from their back to their stomach in the inclined products, leading to suffocation. All four deaths occurred when infants were left to sleep unrestrained in the rockers.
What Parents Should Do
Stop using the products immediately for sleep. Contact Fisher-Price for a full refund or voucher. The AAP recommends infants always sleep on a firm, flat surface — never in inclined products like rockers, swings, or car seats.
This is the latest in a series of infant product recalls underscoring that no inclined sleep product is safe for unsupervised infant sleep.
