Enfamil manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser has voluntarily recalled several lots of Enfamil NeuroPro infant formula after quality control testing detected microscopic metal fragments in production samples. The recall affects approximately 500,000 cans distributed nationwide.

The affected products include Enfamil NeuroPro Infant Formula in 20.7-ounce and 31.4-ounce cans with specific lot codes manufactured at the company's Indiana facility between January and March 2026. A complete list of affected lot numbers is available on the FDA website.

No injuries have been reported, and the company says the contamination was caught through routine quality testing before any confirmed consumer complaints. The metal fragments are believed to have originated from a worn processing equipment component that has since been replaced.

Parents are urged to check formula containers against the recalled lot numbers and discontinue use of affected products immediately. Reckitt is offering full refunds and free replacement products through its customer service line.

The recall comes at a sensitive time for the infant formula industry, which is still recovering from supply chain disruptions in recent years. The FDA is conducting its own investigation at the manufacturing facility and will release findings publicly.
