Fisher-Price has issued a voluntary recall of its Soothing Dreams Sleeper accessory after receiving reports that the product's padded insert can shift during use, potentially creating a breathing obstruction for infants. The recall covers approximately 165,000 units sold nationwide between August 2025 and March 2026.

The company says it received 23 reports of the padded insert shifting out of position, including four incidents where caregivers found their infant's face pressed against the displaced padding. No injuries or deaths have been reported, but the company and the CPSC consider the risk serious enough to warrant immediate action.

Parents and caregivers are advised to stop using the sleeper accessory immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a full refund or replacement product. The recall does not affect the base crib unit, only the removable sleeper insert accessory sold separately or as part of a bundle. Pediatric safety experts continue to recommend that infants sleep on firm, flat surfaces without soft bedding or padding.
