The FDA has announced a multi-state recall of frozen fruit mix products distributed to grocery chains across 22 states after testing confirmed the presence of hepatitis A virus. The affected products were sold under three different brand names between February and April 2026.
Consumers who purchased the recalled items are advised to dispose of them immediately and consult a healthcare provider if they experience symptoms including fever, fatigue, nausea, or jaundice within two to seven weeks of consumption.
The FDA is working with the manufacturer to trace the contamination source, with preliminary findings pointing to imported strawberries from a single overseas supplier.
