Toyota Motor Corporation has announced a recall of approximately 380,000 Tacoma and Tundra trucks from model years 2022 through 2024 due to a potential brake line corrosion defect. The issue primarily affects vehicles sold in northern states where road salt exposure is common.

The corrosion could weaken brake lines over time, potentially leading to reduced braking performance or fluid leaks. Toyota says no accidents have been reported in connection with the defect.

Dealers will inspect and replace affected brake lines free of charge. Owners will receive notification letters beginning in early May.
