ToyWorld International has recalled 120,000 units of its MagnaBlox magnetic building sets after the small high-powered magnets were found to detach from the plastic housings, posing a serious ingestion hazard to young children. Two children required medical treatment after swallowing loose magnets.
The recalled sets were sold at major toy retailers and online marketplaces between August 2025 and March 2026. The product is marketed for children ages 6 and older, but the detached magnets pose risks to younger siblings in the household.
The CPSC is reminding parents that swallowed high-powered magnets can attract each other through intestinal walls, causing serious internal injuries requiring emergency surgery. Consumers should immediately take the product away from children and contact ToyWorld for a refund.
