The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of approximately 300,000 portable space heaters sold online and at major retailers after receiving 45 reports of the units overheating, melting, or catching fire. Two minor burn injuries have been reported.

The recalled heaters were sold between October 2025 and March 2026 and are identifiable by specific model numbers printed on the rear label. Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the heaters and contact the manufacturer for a full refund.

CPSC investigators determined that a faulty thermal cutoff switch in the units fails to shut down the heating element when internal temperatures exceed safe levels, creating a fire hazard.
