General Motors has announced a recall of approximately 340,000 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon SUVs from model years 2024 and 2025 due to a software defect in the electronic brake control module. The issue can cause delayed brake response under certain low-speed maneuvering conditions, increasing the risk of collision.

The company has received 89 complaints related to the defect, including 12 reports of minor accidents, though no injuries have been documented. GM says the issue can be resolved through an over-the-air software update that will be pushed to affected vehicles starting next week.

Owners who prefer not to wait for the OTA update can visit any authorized GM dealership for an immediate software reflash at no charge. The recall affects vehicles manufactured between March 2024 and January 2026.
